My favourite coffee mug for the morning coffee!

The question is … Who stole Kapiti Island?

Don’t we have some good looking blokes in our class!

This month we have been challenged to take a photo each day on a set theme as part of our challenge. We have some funny tasks as well as ordinary ones…… This is going to be a time to be creative in our interpretation of the theme.

Day 1  a Self Portrait

Day 2  What you wore today

Day 3  Clouds

Day 4  Something green

Day 5  From a high angle

Day 6  From a low angle

Day 7  Fruit

We will add to this list next week…… watch this space.

Today our class went to the public library. We went to choose good fit books. Like Braydan choose the new X Men and Clemie choose Snake. We are all working to get good fit books. So every Friday we will go there and get good fit books.

Today we worked together to get some marbling done so we can display our personal goals in a different way. We only had a short time so it was better when everyone worked together. Come back to our blog in a few days and see what they look like.

This morning we drew and described different 2D shapes. My favourite was the trapezium because it is an unusual shape and I like things that are different.

I hope your day went well too.

This week one of the things we are working on is reading to self. We are trying to build our stamina and go the extra mile everyday. We are trying to motivate ourselves so we get excited by learning something. We are trying to do our work with a sense of urgency.

The seniors played hosts for the juniors today ….. it was good to see lots of people chatting away like a big family.

Portraits

Last term Ms Gunson worked on pencil portraits. Then she photocopied them and got us to shade some areas. Some of us can even be recognised without looking at the name. Last year we learned to draw portraits as a school. It was harder to do ourselves because we didn’t have a line guide to follow… we had to judge the size of our heads ourselves.

Who would have thought that it would be so much fun to do maths… compasses, lines, geometry…. and something great to look at when we’d finished.
